Paris Saint-Germain’s approach, which we see play out from fan tokens to full treasury control, is a model. It may be adopted by other sports franchises. Rather than the usual practice of simply doing sponsorships or NFTs, PSG has put together a full-scale ecosystem and reserve strategy. It is a total package other institutions may soon see themselves implementing.
By reaching out to the under 34 crowd PSG is establishing itself as a tech forward lifestyle brand. They are seeing success in that which plays into digital trends and also what their demographic is into. Also through Bitcoin Treasury investments and Web3 interaction the club is bringing sports and digital finance together.
